My beautiful Ellie, was born on February 13th 2008, we was blessed to have you in our lives even though it was for just for a short time. No one could have wanted you or loved you more than me and your daddy.
When I was pregnant I went for a scan at 32 weeks it showed that Ellieβs right eye was smaller than the left. When she was born she was taken away and the news was broken to us that she was born with no right eye. To us it didnβt matter it just made her even more precious. She was perfect to us.
We took her home and proudly showed her off to family and friends as you do. We had so many plans and dreams. She was a happy bonny baby smiled lots loved her cuddles. When she was 4 months old she went through a number of tests and scans and they discovered a fast growing tumour in her brain. Our world started to fall apart before we knew it she was being operated on and not long after she had to go through chemotherapy. I am sorry you had to go through that Ellie.
The chemotherapy made Ellie weak and prone to infections. Ellieβs little body couldnβt take anymore and she sadly passed away in her daddys arms on 7th Feb.
We had the privilege of having Ellie for just 11 short months, but they are mine and your daddies happiest. The time we had together the memories the smiles the tears will stay in our hearts forever.
Itβs a comfort to us knowing you are no longer in pain. We love you Ellie and are so proud to have you as our daughter, have fun with all your new angel friends.

The Children's Christmas

The children's Christmas is simple and bright
They sing the music, they laugh in the light,
Sparkling colors are a magical spell,
Their instant joy flows bubbling and well.
But round that tree I see a space,
Beside the table an empty place,
A voice is missing, a form of grace,
The sweetness of a little lost face.
A vacuum was left by the child who's gone;
Though all seems right, yet it's terribly wrong.
I'd give up my Christmas, and gaiety fine,
To clasp that small hand again in mine.

Candles flame in darkness.
flicker, steadily glow,
bringing light from shadows
and help to soothe me so.
My daughter like the candles,
gave my life true light.
I use the candle's beacon
to connect us in the night.
As I light the candles,
my wish and my request
is that she'll see my signal
And know my love's expressed.
As her light joins my lights,
our worlds touch and flame.
As I snuff out the candles,
I softly say her name.
